About: Preston Rutter, a Mary Litchfield and Alan Sims Scholar, graduated from Brigham Young University with a B.A. in International Relations and a minor in Business Management. He is a dual degree student at KU earning his Juris Doctor and M.P.A. degrees. Before law school, Preston worked in the private sector with an investment portfolio firm in Boise, Idaho. While in Idaho, he interned for State Senator Dean Cameron, Chairman of the Joint Finance & Appropriations Committee, working primarily on transportation and environmental legislation. Preston is an alumnus of the Washington D.C. Seminar Program in which he interned for U.S. Senator Orrin Hatch of his native state of Utah. Preston has also interned for two judges: The Honorable Vernon F. Romney of the Provo City Justice Court, and The Honorable Daniel D. Crabtree of the United States District Court for the District of Kansas.
