Cullen C. Merritt

Cullen C. Merritt, a University Graduate Fellow, received his Master of Public Administration at the University of Kansas (KU) and Bachelor of Arts in Political Science at Texas A&M University.  Cullen’s research focuses broadly on public management and organizational theory, with particular interest in the role of "publicness" in shaping organizational behaviors and performance outcomes.  He has presented his research at the meetings of the Public Management Research Association (PMRA) and the Academy of Management.  Cullen was the research assistant for the PMRA Secretariat from 2011-2013. In this role, he served as the editor of Management Matters, the biannually published PMRA newsletter.  Cullen has also taught multiple undergraduate classes on public administration and public policy at KU.  Rosemary O’Leary served as Cullen’s dissertation advisor/chair.
