Summary

Yiwen Wu is a doctoral student at the University of Kansas (KU) School of Public Affairs and Administration. Prior to his doctoral studies, he received his Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics from the University of Wisconsin and Master’s degree in Urban Planning from KU.

 

Yiwen’s research interests focus on community resilience, sustainable development and social equity. Specifically, he is interested in exploring how local-level efforts can best reduce long-term risks led by climatic and geologic disasters. Coming from a mountainous region (Yunnan Province) in China, Yiwen is aware and hopes to help improve human-nature relationships through connecting his research to planning practice.
