O’Leary visited with Texas KUCIMATS
Rosemary O’Leary, Edwin O. Stene Distinguished Professor of Public Administration, recently met with KU MPA grads in the Dallas-Fort Worth area in the home of Bob and Linda Livingston (Class of 1975). The group included George Schrader (Class of 1955) former City Manager of Dallas; Bob Herchert (Class of 1969) former City Manager of Fort Worth; Bob Livingston (Class of 1975) City Manager of University Park; Alan Sims (Class of 1988) City Manager in Cedar Hill; Kent Austin (Class of 1988) Finance Director in Prosper; Luanne Hanford (Class of 1988) Director of Human Resources in University Park; Jacob Speers (Class of 2000) Assistant Public Works Director in University Park; Shanna Sims-Bradish (Class of 1997) Assistant City Manager of Administrative & Leisure Services in Richardson; Rob (Class of 2002) Assistant City Manager in University Park and Katie (Class of 2003) Corder Consulting, Corder; Dana M. Dotson (Class 2011) Budget Analyst in Mesquite. LaRisa Lochner of KU Endowment, Marilu Goodyear, John Nalbandian, and Ray Hummert also participated.
In brief remarks to the group, Rosemary gave high praise to the MPA program. She also discussed her upcoming trip to New Zealand to study collaboration among the different levels of government and her work on collaboration based upon ICMA data.
