About:  Meagan Borth - a Mary Litchfield scholar, graduated summa cum laude from Washburn University in 2018 with a bachelor’s in political science, a minor in communications, and as an honors associate. During her professional time as an undergraduate, Meagan was a Kansas legislative intern for speaker of the house Ron Ryckman, an event planner and scheduler for a gubernatorial campaign, and a student research assistant for the political science department, as well as for a director of the Student Activities and Greek Life Office. She spent her senior year updating the university’s student handbook, following and working with state politics, and leading a fully-funded trip to Panama City, Panama as the head delegate of a World Model United Nations team. Her personal time was devoted to bettering the community and campus through various outlets. This included being the community service and special events director, where she was the lead organizer for two years worth of drives and events.
