Leslie Herring, an Ethan Allen scholar, graduated from the University of Kansas with a B.A. in Political Science. She has served the City of Mission, Kansas on several civic commissions and task forces, currently serving as Chair of Mission’s Sustainability Commission; Vice-Chair of Mission’s Convention and Visitors Bureau; Secretary of her neighborhood organization, the Morrison Ridge Area Neighborhood Organization (MRANO); and as an election worker through the Johnson County Election Office. She recently completed an internship with the City of Westwood, Kansas, where she worked on the City’s strategic plan review process and aided the City’s budget review. Leslie is currently interning with the County Administrator of Douglas County, Kansas.
